Ken Strauss is the President of Scranton Printing Co. and is the reason the business grew from a 17 sq. ft. facility to a 50,000 sq. ft. facility. Ken is considered the watchdog of Scranton Printing Co. and is the number one consultant for the company. He oversees the company and makes certain that Scranton Printing Co. is on the right track. He also estimates many of the jobs, is involved with business relations and is a huge source of knowledge for the company.
Ken studied business at the University of Miami and moved to NYC after he graduated. While living in NYC he was employed by R.W. Grace and J.C. Penny. Around that time he married his college sweetheart Diane and decided to return to Scranton, PA to become partners with his dad Lionel Strauss. He always says he enjoyed his time in the big apple but saw an opportunity to grow his family business back in Scranton. Looking back he wouldn’t change a thing. Ken and Lionel are responsible for growing the company from a 6-person operation to the 20+ person operation that it is today.
Nathan Strauss has been a part of the family business since he was 16 years old. He attended RIT where he studied printing and business. Nathan is the Vice President of Scranton Printing Co. but is truly the heart and soul of the business. He is the head estimator, but also manages, purchases, and oversees every aspect of Scranton Printing Co. His years of experience and knowledge within the printing world are truly unmatched. He works hard day in and day out to make sure the business runs smoothly. He also was heavily involved with the expansion of Scranton Printing Co., alongside of his father Ken Strauss.
In Nathan’s spare time he is a family man. He has two sons; Ben and Simon, a wife Amanda who is a huge part of Scranton Printing Co., and of course his dog Max. Nathan also enjoys speeding on his motorcycle, shooting pool, and relaxing with a good movie with his family by his side.
Barry Strauss joined the family business in 2008 and serves as VP of Business Development. He holds a BA in Advertising / Journalism. Barry is responsible for developing and managing client relationships but also plays a key role in the internal workings of the business. He is a stickler for consistency and keeps a scrutinized eye on color consistency, and has applied many operating measures to yield consistencies throughout the company.
Before coming back to Scranton in 2008, he worked outside of Washington DC as a boat broker, and established and ran a successful wakeboard / wakesurf department for a marina. You can still find him wakeboarding / wakesurfing during the summers on Lake Winola. He also has a passion for traveling and has lived in San Diego, Florida, Pittsburgh, Washington DC, and currently splits his time between Scranton and Philadelphia.
